The sleek tower at 21 East 12th Street, designed by ED A-List architect Annabelle Selldorf, sits right in the middle of the historic Greenwich Village neighborhood at the corner of East 12th Street and University Place. With just 52 residences, a large outdoor entertaining terrace, and a custom-designed light sculpture by Apparatus Studio illuminating the lobby, it feels like a private, elegant haven from the urban hustle and bustle outside.
The German-born Selldorf, who is known for such other iconic New York City residential buildings as 10 Bond Street and 200 11th Avenue and the upcoming expansion of the Frick Collection, tells ED, “As the building is lived in and the garden on the podium is being planted, the building takes root in the neighborhood and comes to life for both people living in the light filled apartments but also on the street for the passerby.”
And now one of the luxe condominiums, Residence 9C, is coming to market and can be yours for a cool $5.25 million.
