Customers of Marina Filippova bought a one-story house in a quiet village Roccamare in Tuscany and invited a local architect to do repairs. But when he presented to them the visualization of the future interior, they realized that they needed to look for someone else. Through friends, they found Marina and invited her to fly in and see what they have to work with.

“Customers told that before them several families lived in this house at the same time, like in a communal apartment, so there were a lot of small rooms inside, communication in a terrible state, and in the area - impassable windbreak,” recalls the designer. Together with customers, she went for a walk around the district in order to understand in which direction to begin work.

This village was built in the 1970s, all houses are of the same type, stone, not higher than two floors. At the same time, there are very strict rules by which it is impossible to increase the number of floors and the area of ??houses - for the sake of preserving the appearance of the village. There are no high fences here, on the contrary, low fences, and residents can easily walk anywhere, even in foreign areas. You can go, for example, to visit the family of Ferragamo, their villa is just next door. It was she who inspired Marina to create this interior.

She says: “I saw the front door with slats and remembered that as a child, the windows of the house where I lived were going out to the square with a cinema, and he had doors with the same slats. This detail for me is the personification of the 1970s. ”

The designer and customers immediately realized that the house should look in the spirit of those years, “as if we entered and nothing has changed there,” while being comfortable for the life of a large family. For example, the hostess had a wish: “The sofa is needed so that children can immediately jump from the beach, with their feet in the sand, onto it, and the covers can be removed and washed”. The necessary sofa was quickly found, and this is one of the few new items in the interior, mostly Marina was looking for vintage, and at the same time she also added her customers to this exciting experience.

The house was conceived as a summer residence, and many places for outdoor recreation were equipped here: during the day you can nap by the pool or walk in the garden, and watch a movie on the roof in the evening. A few years ago, neither the pool nor the flowering garden was here, they were created by the Italian engineers and landscape designers found by Marina. “We left only huge pines, everything else was cleared and planted again. I watched how all these plants began to bloom almost immediately, the garden began to come to life, ”says Marina.

But the cinema on the roof - the idea of ??Italian colleagues Filippova. The screen and multimedia system are built into the floor and in an inoperative state are almost imperceptible, and when the owners or their guests want to watch a movie, the design leaves the floor and is ready for use. This scheme allows you to not worry about the safety of equipment in case of bad weather.

Almost all of the rooms have access to the street, so that the main entrance is rarely used, they often go through the French window in the living room. It is here that the theme of the rails from Villa Ferragamo is the most beaten. Marina used this motif by drawing sketches of a bookcase and panels above the fireplace. From the laths (however, greatly increased in size) a partition was made between the living room and the dining room. These two rooms, as well as the kitchen, constitute a single space, but if desired, the cooking zone can be closed by sliding doors.

In the guest rooms there was one not very convenient detail - the glass walls separating the toilet from the bedroom. It was impossible to rebuild them, and Marina came up with the idea to make a slatted wall next to the glass, so that the guests were more comfortable. And it looks like everything here as if nothing really has changed since the 1970s.
