Interestingly, Carrie and her family lived in the house for almost seven years before she began to repair. “I did not want any elements of the house to be bought under the influence of fleeting tendencies ... We needed an interior that would look attractive and delight us for many years,” she explains.

The concept was based on minimalist aesthetics: monochrome gamma, natural materials and a lot of natural light. Small details make this interior interesting, whether it is a handmade ceramic vase or a black and white photograph of Elton John, shot by the legendary Terry O’Neill. But the main pride of Carrie - a bright collection of works of art. Almost the entire wall in the living room and kitchen areas on the first floor is hung with paintings.

Another competent decorating technique is the use of different textures and forms, due to which a neutral interior looks more advantageous. Carrie is not afraid to combine noble skin with simple woven textiles, but prefers marble tiles laid out with herringbone to natural stone in slabs. The interior turns out not dull and really cozy. www.thestylist.net.au
