“Our customer is a young man working in IT,” says Alla Katanovich. - The apartment is located in the new “House on Frunzenskaya”, within walking distance from its place of work. In addition to its convenient location, it has many other advantages: it is a bright space with panoramic windows and a view of the park. The customer also liked the attic, which reminded him of his childhood dream of becoming an artist. ”

Before the redevelopment, the apartment had a kitchen, two small rooms - one with a corner window, two bathrooms and a corridor with a staircase to the second level. The kitchen was moved to the corridor, both rooms were connected to it, a dining room was placed in the center, and a living room with built-in acoustics and a large LED TV was placed near the panoramic window.

The only separate room in the open space is the bedroom, which was designed in the same place as the kitchen. This layout is possible, since the apartment is located on the top floor. The entrance to the bathroom with jacuzzi and shower was made right from the bedroom - it turned out to be a comfortable private area. The bedroom has fitted wardrobes and column cabinets with contrasting facades on both sides of the bed.

“The customer has completely trusted our taste in the development of the design project and the re-planning of the space,” Alla Katanovich continues. “The only starting point was the pop art style, but we got carte blanche here, so we decided not to copy the familiar elements of the style, but to convey its mood and aesthetics.”

So the main characters of the project were the works of contemporary St. Petersburg artists and sculptors. The mood of the interior is set by the works of Andrei Lublin, the author of the well-known “Red Men” installed in Perm. The orange “pixel” deer of Lublin from the “Cubism” series travels around the apartment and is everywhere in its place. “The Birds” by Dmitry Solntsev settled in the living room, and his “Dark personalities” entered the solar attic.

Wall-paper, color of furniture and walls, textiles, - very much in this interior was selected under cloths and sculptures. For example, in the bedroom, the wallpaper under the wild silk from the fashionable French brand Casamance was chosen as the perfect background for the painting “Lilia” by artist Alexander Gerasimov.

Usually this happens when a collector’s apartment is made out: the interior becomes a frame for the treasure he has collected. Here the starting point was a replica of the future owner of the apartment. At the first meeting, he told the author of the project: “I don’t want to grow up so much!”
